Questions

Frequently asked questions

Are two pieces ever the same?
No. Every piece is made by hand at one bench, bead by bead, so no two come out the same even from one run of beads. If a piece has sold and you want something like it, it can be made again on request — close to it, never quite identically.
Does a piece arrive blessed?
No. A blessing is given freely by a priest and is never sold here — see the full care and blessing statement for detail.
What happens if a link ever breaks?
Because every link is individually turned and closed by hand, a single link can be reopened and repaired without disturbing the rest of the strand. Get in touch and Claudia will tell you honestly whether it can be put right.
What is a piece made of?
Honestly: we cannot tell you. Claudia buys her beads, medals and crosses from suppliers and has no provenance for them, so this site never names a metal or a stone — it describes colour and form, which is what she can actually stand behind. What is made here is the piece itself: fifty-nine links and more, each one turned onto its own wire and closed by hand.
Can a specific colour or size be commissioned?
Sometimes. Get in touch with what you have in mind and expect an honest answer about whether it is realistic, not a guaranteed yes.
