Each set has the days it is traditionally prayed on. They are a custom, not a rule — if today is a Tuesday and you would rather pray the Joyful Mysteries, pray the Joyful Mysteries.
What it does and does not do
It names the bead you are on and the prayer that goes with it, and shows how far through you are. That is the whole of it. There is no account to make, no timer, no record of which days you prayed and which you did not. A rosary is not a thing to be scored.
If you stop in the middle, the bead you were on is kept in this browser so you can pick the same rosary up again. Clearing your browser data clears it, and nothing is ever sent anywhere.
It also works with JavaScript switched off. The whole rosary is written out on the page either way; the controls only decide how much of it you see at once.
